The Firewire TJ Hull Rider 9'0 is Taylor Jensen's signature longboard, built around a hull bottom design that creates an unmatched sensation of connection to the wave face. Shaped by Dan Mann for TJ's flowing, groove-heavy style, the Hull Rider excels in classic longboard conditions — soft points, high-tide beach breaks, and any wave with a flat, open face. This board makes hull surfing accessible without sacrificing the unique, water-connected feeling that makes hull bottoms so captivating.
- Hull Bottom: Moderate convex hull bottom — the opposite of a concave — creates effortless rail-to-rail transitions and a distinctly flowing, connected sensation unique to hull design.
- Nose: Fuller outline with a tear-drop concave cutout of the hull bottom — reduces nose weight, improves maneuverability, and generates lift for noseriding and cross-stepping.
- Tail: Rounded pintail for smooth stability when trimming; flatter entry rocker with gentle tail rocker for easy wave catching and relaxed directional changes.
- Volume: 71.5 liters at 9'0 — generous longboard volume in Firewire Helium construction that paddles strongly without unnecessary weight.
- Construction: Firewire Helium — advanced EPS/epoxy layering for a lighter, more responsive, and more durable board than traditional PU/PE longboards.
- Ideal For: Longboard surfers who want to experience hull surfing in a forgiving, approachable shape. Works best from ankle-high to shoulder-high in conditions with softer, flatter wave faces.
Sizing: The 9'0 / 71.5L suits surfers from approximately 145–200 lbs. The 9'6 at 80.6L suits heavier surfers or those wanting maximum paddle power and glide in the hull design.
Care: Rinse with fresh water after every session. Protect epoxy construction from impacts and prolonged UV exposure. Store in a board bag when not in use to preserve the Helium layup.

Free standard shipping is available on orders over $100, excluding surfboards and other oversized items.
Shipping rates for orders under $100, expedited methods, and oversized items are calculated at checkout.

Some items require special handling and do not qualify for free shipping or standard prepaid rates. These may include, but are not limited to:

Surfboard Shipping
Surfboards are excluded from free shipping and may require additional shipping, packaging, and handling charges due to size and freight requirements.
Because surfboards are fragile oversized items, delivery times may vary and extra transit protection may be required. Any surfboard-specific shipping charges will be shown at checkout or coordinated separately if needed.
