The Firewire Dominator 2.0 is Daniel Thomson's refined evolution of one of surfing's most beloved small wave shapes. First introduced in 2008, the original Dominator reshaped what's possible in weak or gutless surf. The 2.0 updates it with a squash tail, more performance-oriented rails, and an evolved bottom contour that works across a broader range of conditions. The concave now splits from a single under the front foot into a subtle double-barrel with V exit in the last 5 inches, creating more release and snap through turns than the original.
- Tail: Squash tail delivers the smooth rail-to-rail transitions of the round tail with added release and energy through turns for snappier, more dynamic directional changes.
- Rails: Slightly more refined and performance-oriented than the original, more sensitive and responsive without losing the Dominator's accessible, forgiving character.
- Bottom Contour: Single concave under the front foot splitting into a subtle double-barrel with V exit in the last 5 inches for drive upfront and release through the tail.
- Volume: 31.5 liters at 5'9 enabling performance in surf that would otherwise require a significantly larger board.
- Construction: Firewire Helium lightweight EPS/epoxy build for a more buoyant, durable, and responsive hybrid than comparable PU shapes.
- Ideal For: Surfers who want genuine high performance in weak, crumbly, or gutless surf. Works in a wider range of conditions than the original Dominator.
Sizing: The 5'9 / 31.5L suits surfers from approximately 140 to 185 lbs as a dedicated small wave board. Size up for more volume in weaker surf; size down for snappier response in punchy, better-quality waves.
Care: Rinse with fresh water after every surf. Store away from UV exposure and impacts. Repair dings promptly to maintain the epoxy construction's waterproof integrity.

Free standard shipping is available on orders over $100, excluding surfboards and other oversized items.
Shipping rates for orders under $100, expedited methods, and oversized items are calculated at checkout.

Surfboard Shipping
Surfboards are excluded from free shipping and may require additional shipping, packaging, and handling charges due to size and freight requirements.
Because surfboards are fragile oversized items, delivery times may vary and extra transit protection may be required. Any surfboard-specific shipping charges will be shown at checkout or coordinated separately if needed.
