The Xcel Comp+ Hooded 5/4mm Fullsuit Men's is built for the coldest surf conditions on the calendar — 5mm torso, 4mm limbs, with an integrated hood, all in Xcel's Comp+ stretch neoprene for maximum warmth and the flexibility needed to surf in seriously cold water.
Key Features:
- 5/4mm Thickness — 5mm torso insulation and 4mm limbs; rated for water temperatures from 42–54°F; the suit for mid-winter surfing when anything thinner stops being fun
- Integrated Neoprene Hood — built-in hood eliminates the gap between suit collar and a separate hood where cold water flushes; the integrated seal is significantly more effective at retaining head heat than a separate hood layered over a suit
- Comp+ Stretch Neoprene — Xcel's performance neoprene platform delivers meaningful flexibility at 5/4 thickness; important because a stiff 5/4 ruins your paddle stroke and wears you out in a long session
- Glued and Blindstitched Seams — fully sealed construction at all critical seam lines; at 5/4mm in cold water, seam integrity directly determines whether the suit actually keeps you warm

The 5/4 hooded fullsuit is cold-water surfing's nuclear option — the suit you buy when the water is 45°F and you're still paddling out. At that temperature, warmth is functionality: a suit that keeps you comfortable lets you surf for two hours instead of forty minutes. The integrated hood removes the single most common failure point (the collar gap) that ruins separate hood setups in serious cold. Pair with 3mm gloves and booties for a complete system.
Sizing & Fit: Order using Xcel's men's size chart. At 5/4mm, a snug fit is critical — excess space means trapped cold water that the suit can never warm up. If between sizes, size down for the 5/4 specifically.
Care: Rinse thoroughly inside and out with fresh water immediately after every session. Hang inside-out in shade. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, or leave in sunlight. Cold-water suits benefit from occasional wetsuit shampoo treatments to prevent neoprene degradation.

Free standard shipping is available on orders over $100, excluding surfboards and other oversized items.
Shipping rates for orders under $100, expedited methods, and oversized items are calculated at checkout.

Surfboard Shipping
Surfboards are excluded from free shipping and may require additional shipping, packaging, and handling charges due to size and freight requirements.
Because surfboards are fragile oversized items, delivery times may vary and extra transit protection may be required. Any surfboard-specific shipping charges will be shown at checkout or coordinated separately if needed.
