The Firewire Groove 5-Fin Set Medium/Large is Rob Machado's throwback high-performance fin — a pivot-inspired thruster designed specifically for the Groove model's performance-focused rocker and outline, with a progressive flex that delivers spring and liveliness out of every turn.
Template: Upright (pivot) template with Rob Machado's hybrid DNA — a lengthened base that adds drive while retaining the quick-turning response of a pivot fin. Designed for punchy, hollow waves and committed vertical surfing.
Construction: Rob worked directly with Firewire's fin team on the layup — varying carbon layers over a bamboo core create a progressive flex where the leading edge is stiffer (for immediate response and drive on entry) and the trailing edge flexes more (for spring and liveliness on exit). The result is a fin that accelerates you out of turns rather than just pivoting through them.
Performance: Lively and responsive in waves from waist-high to overhead where the Groove's performance characteristics are most at home. Works best when you want speed through turns and that characteristic snap out of the pocket that Rob's surfing is built on.
Compatibility: Single Tab variants compatible with Futures fin system. Sold as a 5-fin set (thruster + quad rears). Medium/Large size — suitable for most adult surfers 150–185 lbs.

Domestic Shipping
We currently offer shipping within the United States.
Free standard shipping is available on orders over $100, excluding surfboards and other oversized items.
Shipping rates for orders under $100, expedited methods, and oversized items are calculated at checkout.

Some items require special handling and do not qualify for free shipping or standard prepaid rates. These may include, but are not limited to:

Surfboard Shipping
Surfboards are excluded from free shipping and may require additional shipping, packaging, and handling charges due to size and freight requirements.
Because surfboards are fragile oversized items, delivery times may vary and extra transit protection may be required. Any surfboard-specific shipping charges will be shown at checkout or coordinated separately if needed.

Delivery Times

Tracking
