The Firewire Seaside Helium Surfboard 5'10 39.4L in Futures is Rob Machado's signature small-wave performance board — a wide, volume-forward shape designed to generate real speed and flow in everything from knee-high beachbreak to head-high mushburgers that would stall a shortboard.

- High Volume at 39.4L — generous volume relative to length makes wave-catching effortless and keeps the board moving through flat spots between sections
- Helium Construction — Firewire's lightweight EPS/epoxy layup with carbon fiber stringers delivers a lively, responsive feel significantly lighter than traditional PU/polyester — less swing weight means faster turning
- Futures Fin System — compatible with Futures thruster or twin+1 setups; switching to a twin with trailer opens up a looser, more skate-like feel that the Seaside shape rewards
- Wide Tail — wider tail outline boosts planing speed and stability in small surf without sacrificing release on harder turns
The Seaside was built for the days when most surfers debate whether it's even worth paddling out — and Machado designed it to make those days count. At 5'10" with 39.4L, this board finds speed where standard shortboards can't, turns the smallest runners into flowing arc turns, and makes average surf feel fun and rewarding. The Helium construction keeps it light enough that you're not fighting the board's weight on turns.
Sizing & Fit: At 5'10" and 39.4L, this board works well for surfers from roughly 140–200+ lbs as a small-wave alternative or fun-board. Intermediate surfers will appreciate the easy paddle and wave-catching; experienced surfers will find the shape rewards more progressive surfing. Fins not included — order Futures fins separately.
Care: Rinse with fresh water after every session. Store out of direct sunlight. Epoxy/EPS construction resists pressure dings better than PU but protect rails and nose from hard impacts.

Free standard shipping is available on orders over $100, excluding surfboards and other oversized items.
Shipping rates for orders under $100, expedited methods, and oversized items are calculated at checkout.

Surfboard Shipping
Surfboards are excluded from free shipping and may require additional shipping, packaging, and handling charges due to size and freight requirements.
Because surfboards are fragile oversized items, delivery times may vary and extra transit protection may be required. Any surfboard-specific shipping charges will be shown at checkout or coordinated separately if needed.

Tracking
